Competition Format

🔢 1. Competition Format (Mini Overview)

QUALIFYING COMPETITION (Most likely held on a Wednesday at 2:00)

The top team and the top scoring individual will qualify for the final round (students vs. teachers)

• Individual Round: 30 questions, 60 minutes

• BREAK (10 minutes)

• Team Round: 10 problems, 20 minutes, teams of 5

• Tiebreaker Round (if needed): a fast-paced countdown round

• RESULTS

FINAL ROUND (Most likely held on the next Wednesday after the Qualifying Competition)

The top team and the top-scoring individual in the qualifying competition will compete against the teachers in a final round, all together in a team of 5 people against a team of 6 teachers

• Individual Round: 30 questions, 60 minutes

• BREAK (10 minutes)

• Team Round: 10 problems, 20 minutes, team of 6

• Tiebreaker Round (if needed): A set of 6 problems, the scores of the students and teachers will be calculated as correct problems * 10 - time taken (in minutes)

• RESULTS (The scores of the teachers and students will be calculated by summing up all the individual round scores (out of 30) + team score * 10). Whoever has the greater final score wins! (Either students or teachers)
