The MPS Sausage Sizzle is a casual, community-style social and fundraising event. It provides an informal setting for students to relax, connect with peers, and engage with the club community. In addition to being a social gathering, it supports fundraising efforts for the club, allowing us to deliver more exciting events that are more beneficial for our members.
Postgraduate Pathways in Physiology Panel Night is an informational event hosted by the Monash Physiology Society, designed to support students in exploring their options beyond an undergraduate physiology degree.
Panelists will share their experiences of different postgraduate programs such as Honours in Science, PhD research, Master of Clinical Embryology, Master of Speech Pathology, and Master of Radiation Therapy. The event aims to give students a clearer understanding of potential career directions, the realities of postgraduate study, and the steps involved in pursuing further education.

Lock in O’clock is a structured study session hosted by the Monash Physiology Society, designed to support students in staying focused and productive during the mid-semester break. It provides a quiet, collaborative environment where attendees can work on lectures, revision, or assignments alongside their peers.
This study session encourages accountability and effective study habits, helping students make meaningful progress in a supportive setting.
Welcome Night - Beyond the Lecture Theatre: Connections Night, welcomes new and returning members in an engaging, inclusive environment. Through icebreakers, team activities, networking practice and workshops, the event fosters meaningful connections while exploring opportunities in physiology. With refreshments provided, and a relaxed atmosphere, it encourages conversation, skill-building, and genuine relationship development.

The inaugural social event of the semester, a sausage sizzle that brought together students and committee members. The event provided an opportunity for upcoming ancillary members to connect, foster community, and make the most out of campus life prior to exams.
Day 1 (Aug 26, 6–8pm) features the Unit Reviews Panel, where high-achieving students and prize-winners will share insights on key physiology units (PHY2011, PHY2032, PHY2042, PHY3072, PHY3181, PHY3171, PHY3202, PHY3111, and PHY3990), along with study strategies, research opportunities, and an Honours perspective.
Day 2 (Aug 28, 6–8pm) presents the Medical Student Panel, covering advice on excelling in undergrad, navigating the medical school application process, preparing for MMIs, and tackling the GAMSAT. Panellists will discuss challenges, reapplication strategies, and comparisons between Melbourne and Monash pathways, as well as how physiology undergrad skills translate into medicine. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from experienced students, ask questions, and gain practical tips for both academic success and future career planning.
A focused study session designed to boost productivity in a supportive environment. Whether students were revising or catching up, the space offered a calm, motivating atmosphere, complete with free food to keep everyone energised and on track.
Students honed key networking skills, from crafting standout elevator pitches to speed friending and engaging confidently with industry professionals. The session concluded with an insightful Q&A featuring Physiology graduates, including Medicine students, Paramedics, and Industry Professionals, who shared valuable advice and personal career insights.
In this event, professionals from diverse fields shared their career journeys and how their background in physiology shaped their paths. Past speakers have included a medical student, a public health consultant, a MedTech entrepreneur, a neurophysiologist, and a cardiac technologist.
As the Monash Physiology Society’s inaugural event, this session featured high-achieving physiology students who shared their experiences, insights, and advice on navigating the physiology major at Monash.
