According to the research conducted by the Kolkata-based Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) along with World Health Organization (WHO), the lung tests show that 43.5% of the Delhi School children suffered from “poor or restrictive lungs”. Therefore, we decided to make our products and services for all gender students college with age between 18-24 years old who live in urban India and suffer from air pollution, especially those who do not wear eyeglasses.

The Earth’s atmosphere has been contaminated by air pollution. In Delhi, India for instance, the air quality has been poor since the late 1980s. Surveys in the mid-1990s showed 24-hour average suspended particulate levels exceeding World Health Organization (WHO) guideline limits almost daily, with peak levels as high as 6–10 times the limit at many sites. Based on the research that we have mentioned previously, the students in Indian cities are also affected by air pollution from vehicles or factories. A report in 1997 by the Ministry of Environment and Forests of India reviewed the environmental condition in Delhi that is getting worse. It was estimated that about 3,000 metric tons of air pollutants were emitted every day in Delhi with a major contribution from vehicular pollution, in the amount of 67%, followed by 12% of coal-based thermal power plants. The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) stated a report that air in Delhi has a high concentration of major pollutant PM2.5 which affects young people the most toward respiratory and heart diseases.
Hence, our company decided to focus on the third goal of sustainable development that is good health and well-being which has the purpose to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages. Specifically, we are focusing on target 3.9 which aims to reduce illness and death from hazardous chemicals and pollution. We set these targets as our fundamental purpose to tackle air pollution matters, especially for students in urban India.

The health survey conducted by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) showed that among 413 children, 75.4% complained of breathlessness, 24.2% complained of itchy eyes, 22.3% complained of regular sneezing or runny nose, and 20.9% complained of coughing in the morning. We need to solve these problems to reduce the impacts of air pollution on young people. The environmental and human well-being may worsen if we don’t immediately respond and solve these matters. It might increase the number of deaths caused by respiratory and heart diseases from air pollution, particularly in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.

We also have done a small survey regarding students in urban India who are suffering from air pollution. The survey result shows 70% live in an area full of air pollution. They find it is hard to breathe and emission gas from vehicles also gives headaches and affects their health. Moreover, the students face some problems, such as the low-quality air is irritating to the skin and eyes, causing breathing problems, headaches, and allergies.
These survey results strengthen our decision to focus on these matters in order to make a more innovative solution for students who live in urban India. We are offering an innovative and affordable price of a mask with glasses and a purifier due to the severe air pollution in India's urban areas can bring eye and lung infections for young students, glasses fogging when wearing ordinary masks with glasses, and people need a personalized mask according to their needs. The offering that we have made might only be for a temporary solution, but we are going to continue to improve the solution in order to make better innovations that effectively and efficiently prevent, reduce, and solve matters.
