Mac Andrews
Mac Andrews is an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon Company. He has been there for 36 years working on air traffic control radar and satellite communication systems. He has expertise in antennas, radio frequency circuitry and theory, analog and power electronics. He also studied electrical engineering at UMASS Amherst and WPI. His hobbies include guitar, electronic and automotive repair, gardening, and volunteering in schools.
Nancy Balch
Nancy Balch is a night shift Emergency Medicine Pharmacist at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Northeastern University School of Pharmacy and subsequently completed a PGY1 at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Among Nancy’s clinical duties as an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist, she assists at the bedside with care of unstable, trauma, and stroke patients; reviews/approves all medications ordered, answers clinical questions, counsels patients, and attends rapid responses. Nancy also speaks both locally and nationally, at Pharmacy, Critical Care, and Nurse Practitioner conferences.
Elizabeth Brownell
Not only is Elizabeth a Medway alum (2005), she is also the Engineering Program Manager at the MIT Global Engineering and Research (GEAR) Lab. The GEAR Lab focuses on using mechanical design theory to create simple and elegant technological solutions to problems in the developing world. Their technologies are aimed at making a positive impact on the world while generating novel scientific & engineering knowledge.
Elizabeth is a mechanical engineer with a background in both physics and chemistry. She enjoys research and development work involving mechanical product design and prototype-scale fabrication, as well as analysis and modeling. Her research interests include clean energy technology, water conservation, and combined heat & power (CHP).
James Donnelly
James Donnelly is Assistant Director of Admission at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Anna Donovan
Anna Donovan graduated from Medway High School in 2013. She attended Colby College and graduated in 2017, majoring in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Research at Colby and Harvard University led her to her current job in manufacturing at Silk Therapeutics, a biomaterials company located in Medford, MA.
Bill Dowling
Bill Dowling is a pilot for JetBlue Airlines. He has been in the pilot career for 30 years.
Caitrin Foley
Caitrin Foley graduated from Medway High School in 2014. She did her first two years of her Bachelors Degree at the University of Tennessee where she studied Environmental and Soil Science. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2018. She is currently an Environmental Scientist at a private Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering Firm.
Kara Graney & Stephanie Gilooly
Kara Graney and Stephanie Giooly are both graduates of the University of New Hampshire with Bachelors of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Stephanie continued her education and received her Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. She now works at BAE Systems based in Nashua, NH. Kara began working as an estimator for Northern Peabody Mechanical Contractors in Manchester, NH following her undergraduate degree.
Maggie Hennessy, and Camila Wendorff
Maggie Hennessy and Camila Wendorff are both students at Mass Bay. They are both Biotechnology students working to pursue their Associate's Degree.
Megan Grady
Megan Grady is a nurse practitioner at Newton Wellesley Hospital. She specializes in cardiology and is also a certified CPR instructor.
Tracy Isman
Tracy Isman was a former Math and Advanced Programming teacher here at Medway High School. Previously, she graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Mathematics. She taught herself how to write code before teaching programming here and was able to get into Wayfair’s training program, called Wayfair Labs. For two months, she learned about the coding styles and languages used at Wayfair and then, starting in December 2017, she joined her current team. She is now one of the veteran members, helping to maintain and update one sector of the code the team encompasses, the Supplier Selection Algorithm.
Rick Mankin
Rick Mankin is a resident of Medway. A few of his colleagues will be joining him to help give a quick presentation and interactive demonstration using microbit
Justin Manley
Justin Manley is an innovative technologist and executive with experience in startup, public corporation, academic, and public sectors. Mr. Manley has been working with marine technology and robotics since 1990 and is a recognized leader in unmanned systems development and operations. After professional roles at MIT, supporting NOAA and in the private sector Mr. Manley founded Just Innovation Inc. in mid-2015. He supports a variety of clients with a focus on unmanned and undersea systems.
Mr. Manley is extensively involved in the marine technology profession through a variety of leadership roles. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Served as Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for the Marine Technology Society (MTS), is a Fellow of the Institute for Marine Engineering Science and Technology (IMAREST) and a founding member of Marine Education for Inspiration and Innovation (MATEII). He is also dedicated to innovation, serving as an advisor to startup companies and a judge for the Wendy Schmidt Ocean Health and ANA AVATAR XPRIZE. He holds two patents in unmanned systems oversight and security.
Joanne Mavroides
Joanne Mavroides is currently the director of US Supply Chain & Logistics at Abiomed. Abiomed is a manufacturer of medical implant devices, including the AbioCor artificial heart and Impella. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lowell and her Master of Business Administration from Northeastern.
Jennifer Nelson
Jennifer Nelson is currently working her dream job in Labor and Delivery at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and an Associates Degree in Nursing.
Jennifer's career path took many turns to bring her to where she is today. Though she had always dreamt of becoming a nurse, young children captured her heart at first. She spent 20+ years in the field of Early Childhood Education. However, her dream to become a nurse was still lingering.
Jennifer gathered the courage to become a nurse and went back to school. She fought through nursing school and continued to run a daycare business all while taking care of her two children as a single parent. Graduating nursing school and passing the Nursing Boards was a feeling like no other for Jennifer.
Madison Oppenheim
Madison Oppenheim is a second year Pharmacy major at Northeastern University. She graduated from Medway High School in 2018 and is set to graduate from Northeastern in 2024 with her Doctorate of Pharmacy. Post-graduation, Madison either plans to work in the pharmaceutical industry or a major hospital in Boston.
John Pantaleo, Katie Corey, and Kristina Hines
John Pantaleo, Katie Corey and Kristina Hines work at Dassault Systemes.
John is R&D Director of Software Quality Engineering. He manages a group of 100 software test engineers located in the US, Europe and India. His job is to test their 3D simulation software, find as many problems as possible and validate that the quality is high before releasing it to their customers. John obtained his Master of Science in Engineering Management from Western New England University and his Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University. John loves that he gets to work with very bright people around the world on challenging projects using the latest technologies to perform realistic 3D simulations of everything in our lives.
Katie is the SIMULA Blog and Social Media Manager for the Creative Lab. Katie helps people understand and connect complex science, engineering and technological advancements to their everyday lives using digital media outlets including social media, blogging, etc. Katie received her Master of Science in Technical and Scientific communication from Northeastern University and her Bachelor of Arts in English and History with a focus in Writing from the University of Rhode Island. Katie likes how her non-linear career path has led her to work on some fascinating projects and interact with some amazingly talented people. She is a writer and editor, so working for Dassault Systemes has satisfied both her creative and nerdy personality.
Kristina is Senior Manager in Marketing. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from College of the Holy Cross. She was always interested in learning about a lot of different things - history, the visual arts, science, literature, etc. - and working at SIMULIA keeps her engaged. Kristina loves that there is always something cool to learn about, whether it is a breakthrough related to technology or a new fact about physics, she is always learning.
Susan Rozak
Susan Rozak has her Masters of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University. She has worked as an Engineer for Saint-Gobain Corporation in Worcester, MA for over 25 years.
Alicia Sullivan, PT, DPT
Alicia Sullivan is a Physical Therapist with over 18 years of experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient orthopedics, assisted living, and inpatient hospital. Alicia received her Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy in January 2000 from Quinnipiac University and then returned to receive a Doctorate degree from Boston University in 2005. She has been working at Active Physical Therapy in Bellingham, MA since October of 2008. Fun fact, she is also a first-degree black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and has taught women's self defense.
Patricia Tribou
Patricia Tribou has a Bachelor's Degree in High School Physical Education from Springfield College, an Associates Degree in Human Physical Therapy from Newbury College and is certified in Canine Rehabilitation from University of Tennessee.
She now co owns Canine New England in Walpole, MA with Lorraine Messier who is a Canine Master Fitness Trainer, Dock Diving Judge and Instructor, and a Flyball Judge and Instructor. Together they have built a 21,000 sq ft facility for canine performance and rehabilitation that sees over 100 dogs per week.
Trevor Woodard
Trevor Woodard is a Senior at Medway High School. Trevor helps run the SHOP Desk along with Mr. Camire and other students.
Ron Welter
Ron Welter leads the delivery organization of a small, growing IT consulting firm serving the Life Sciences industry. He is constantly involved with the people and the technology used to support all phases of the drug development process. He is also involved in the Startup ecosphere which helps people bring concepts to companies.
Aaron W. Young
Dr. Aaron Young is an Assistant Professor of Physiology & Biophysics at Boston University. He is also the Co-Director of the first-year Principles Integrating Science and Medicine (PrISM) curriculum for the Boston University School of Medicine MD Program. This involves leadership and administration for all foundational basic sciences. He is the Module Director for the Respiratory System and Endocrinology & Reproductive Systems modules of PrISM. He is course Director of Physician Assistant Physiology for the Boston University School of Medicine – Graduate Medical Sciences Physician Assistant Program as well.
Dr. Young’s interests include being heavily involved in the design and development of medical school curriculum, utilization of clinical cases in foundational basic science education, and the integration of teaching and technology. His previous research experience has centered on respiratory, cardiovascular, and exercise physiology in a clinical setting with human subjects.
