COS Internship: Medical Assistant at Trailhead Clinic.
The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:
time & work management
career literacy
grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
My definition of professionalism is respecting others and treating them how you'd want to be treated. To be professional you need to demonstrate you have an open mind and that you're able to adapt and learn things quickly. To me it means taking responsibility and being able to maintain a positive demeanor.
Resume
Reflective Essay
My post secondary goal is to attend a program that specializes in sonography/obstetrics. I want to get my prerequisites at a university or college and then hopefully transfer into a program. In the unfortunate event that I do not get into a program, I will continue studying radiology.
Goals
Being more social
-I've always been very shy and never liked talking to people I didn’t know so I set this goal for myself. Interning at Trailhead Clinic really encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and strike-up a conversation.
Work on Interpersonal skills
-I was able to work on my interpersonal skills in the time I was here. Specifically, when I was interacting with a patient, it required me to actively listen, communicate effectively and show empathy.
