The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:

grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
my personal definition:
in my opinion, professionalism means being respectful, responsible, and dependable. It’s about doing your best, communicating clearly, and being punctual. To me, being professional is taking your work seriously, making sure its done right, and on time.
I plan to continue building my skills, gaining hands-on experience, and staying focused on opportunities that help me grow both personally and professionally. My career goal is to work in a field that fits my strengths, allows me to solve problems, and offers long-term stability. I’m committed to pursuing the education and training I need, staying disciplined, and working toward a career that lets me support myself, contribute to my community, and take pride in what I do.
