WBL Internship: Montrose Fire Department
In my opinion, professionalism isn't just showing up on time and getting to work. It's everything you do, the way you dress, how your hair looks, and how you speak. All these things can be very easily overlooked when thinking about being professional, but some of them are the most important when it comes to professionalism especially in the fire and ems service.
The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:
time & work management
career literacy
grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
My future plan & career statement
In the next four years of my career I plan to attend college and get a two year degree in fire science as well as getting my EMT certification and pursuing a job on an EMS company or becoming a career firefighter.
Work Experience
Full time during this past summer I worked as a dishwasher for camp robber, the summer before that I worked for Geyser Systems building outdoor showers on an assembly line.
