WBL Internship - Western Slope Orthopedics
The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:
time & work management
career literacy
grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
My personal definition:
In my opinion 'professionalism' is not simply the "skill expected of a professional" but all the little things that fall under that. Including how you dress, how you interact with others, how much you value your work and the effort you put into your profession.

My Future Plan and Career Statement
I strive to be a hard-working, empathetic individual in any career I end up in. I will want to be involved in the medical field but I am not quite sure where yet, I am considering becoming a physical therapist or a physicians assistant! I plan to attend Texas tech University where I will study Kinesiology!
Current Experience and Employment
I have worked as a babysitter for multiple families since 2022. This work has benefited my social skills, time management and my work ethic!
Goals/Soft Skills
-I mainly focused on building confidence, learning to speak up for myself, and improving how I communicate with others! I worked on being more empathetic as being injured or in pain is diffcult for anyone. I also worked towards making good connections with the doctors who mentored me as well as anyone else involved in my daily time in the clinic. These soft skills helped me grow and feel more prepared for my future in medicine!
