My Personal Definition: Professionalism is a behavior that is expected in any work environment. It means to be reliable, respectful to your colleagues, always on time, maintaining a positive attitude through the ups and downs, and constantly striving to be better.

My future plan: is continuing to develop skills and the experience I gained at my internship this semester at MHS, I plan to pursue a degree in sports management or athletic administration at college, where I plan on attending Black Hills State in Spearfish South Dakota. I plan on shadowing the Athletic Director at BHSU, this will allow me to learn more of what it takes to be a AD, and get another perspective.
My Career Goal: is to become an Athletic Director at the high school or college level, leading programs that support athlete's on and off the field. I want to create an environment where athletes, coaches, and the community feel supported and encouraged just like I see my dad do every day. This internship has conformed my love for sports, and I cant wait for the next chapter

If you were a teenager again what would you do differently?
Get a degree in Psychology, to figure out how the youth brain is working.
How do you deal with stress in your job?
Stay Busy, and stay organized, to lead to less stress.
Describe your day to day as an Athletic Director?
Each day is different, Responding to emails, Duty in the hall, Working on scheduling, phone calls or meetings, lunch duty, setting up for events, being at events for the rest of the evening.
6. How many hours do you work a week?
Depends on the week - Busy, around 60, Less Busy around 40.
7. Do you think adults have a hard time talking to young people, if so why?
I do, its gotten tougher since social media, when some kids have a tough time commincating without their phone.
8. What is your favorite thing about your job, and why?
Being able to watch the success of our sports programs, and success of the student atheltes of MHS.
9. Besides your education what makes you successful?
Work ethic, and attention to details, and putting a lot of time to making sure things are done right.
10. If you could give me one piece of career advice, that you think could really help me, what would it be?
Whatever you're excited about doing, you have to take it and run with it, and work super hard!!
