My Definition Of Professionalism
To me, professionalism is being able to complete a task given to you and do it to the best of your ability. It's being able to forget about your personal feelings and do what is needed. Professionalism is a necessity to having a successful career and life.
Work Ethic- I believe that work ethic is one of the most important things to have in life. Going into anything in life I've always put my all into it and done the best I could. This Internship was no different. Going in I knew that I was going to work hard and do the best I could in order to gain as much experience as possible.
Communication and relations- Though gaining experience is a huge part of COS, gaining relations and connections is almost as big. The relations you gain as an intern wouldn't be possible anywhere else. The people you meet could help you later on in life with many things including a possible career. I knew this going into this class so one of my focus points was being able to communicate to establish those relations.
Time Management- In the professional setting, you are given jobs to finish and a certain time to finish them. I was tasked with many jobs as an intern that had a deadline so time management was definitely a main focus point.
My entire life I have wanted to be an Engineer and throughout school have set my classes to be able to achieve that goal. After I graduate, I plan to attend college getting either a master's in aerospace engineering or attend the first four years majoring in mechanical engineering then go to graduate school for aerospace engineering.
