COS Internships 22-23
The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:

My personal definition of professionalism is you come into work with a positive/professional attitude. You leave all of your personal business outside of work. For example, If you want to be able to do get in college, then you have to get good grades and a have a positive mindset the whole time.
I aim to be a hardworking, caring Dental hygienist. I want to help people take care of their teeth and make people have a good dental visit.
I must graduate from a dental hygiene program (usually at the Associate's Degree level), pass the national board exam, and pass a regional or state licensing exam to be licensed in the state. This will take around 3 years to complete.

What do you do at your job?
Answer 1: I am a patient care coordinator.
Career Question 2: What do you like at your job?
Answer 2: I like everything, and I like helping people. Mostly I like helping people, and seeing them smile when they leave, and like seeing them happy with their service.
Career Question 3: Do you like your job?
Answer 3: Yes, but I love my job, it brings joy to my day to smiling patients.
After school or on the weekends, I work a part time job at Crumbl Cookies. I decorate cookies, serve costumers, and clean. On Friday nights and Saturday mornings, I am a youth Sports Official. I score-keep little kid basketball, baseball/softball games. Also, I ref little kids soccer games.
This video explains what I do at my internship site. It includes: a professional interview with a staff member, photos and videos showing what i get to do at my internship site.
Questions: I want to be able to ask questions so it shows that I am participating and getting a better understanding of what I was learning. This is a big goal for me because I am pretty quiet and shy, so for me to ask questions, Its a big step up for me. Asking questions makes things a lot easier to understand and know what is going on.
Develop Skills in profession: Since dentistry is a career that I want to continue in, I want for myself to develop these skills for when I enter the real world. So fro when i enter, I already have a lot of background info on Dentistry.
Working With Others: work well with others, cooperating in both interpersonal and team relationships; gains trust from co-workers, and respect. Getting along with others is huge for me, it makes the work environment a lot better when you get along with others.
