My Personal Definition
Professionalism in my personal opinion is not how someone dresses or how compliant they are to the rules. Professionalism is the ability to complete tasks and keep on continuing to keep moving forward within the business place regardless of the profession.
Q: What is your specialty at the firehouse? A: Currently I am going to paramedic school. So medicine and emergency medicine. Probably the closest thing to a specialty... at Montrose fire protection there is no real specialty because we all try to do the same thing.
Q: What is favorite part of this job and what has made you stay? A: Being one of the newest folks on the Montrose Fire Department is like a fourth career for me. What has really made me stay is the opportunity to help people... being able to help people, take care of people through all the different facets of my life.
Q: Would you recommend this job to people? A: This is a profession that can fill employment and absolutely has to exist. And the demands placed on emergency medicine... the job is beginning to become more demanding.
My final goal is to be a fireman that puts his community before himself. I want to be someone that the community feels safe when seeing even though I will be seeing at their lowest point. I plan to attend Utah Valley University to obtain my certifications to begin working in this field.
