The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:
time & work management
career literacy
grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
In my personal opinion, I believe that being a professional goes much further than time and effort spent into your certain area. A Professional is someone who goes over and above by demonstrating expertise within your career and proving grit and perseverance.
