COS Internship: Administration at Valley Restoration and Construction
The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:
time & work management
career literacy
grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
My Personal Definition:
I think being a professional has a lot to do with organization. You want to have an organized space to work in, especially when in meetings. I would say professionalism is also about being dressed properly. If you work for a business in the office you want to try and dress maybe in a suit not in sweatpants and a hoodie.

Goals I set for myself:
Communication: talks to new people with confidence and comfortness. Doesn't wisper while speaking. Talks loud and clear so the other person can hear me. Asks questions whenever I don't understand something without hesitation. Isn't shy while speaking to new people. Is the first one to say hello and start a conversation.
Time Management: turns in things on time and complete. Isn't asking for more time to get things completed. Makes a timeline of when thigs are due and the process I'm going to take to get the things I need to get done complete. Always follows the timeline. If I don't have the time to go out and if going out will mess with my timeline I will try to say no and stay home and do what I need to get done.
Collaboration: works collaboratly with everyone. Doesn't get mad at people not doing their job correctly or not doing their job at all. Talks to those people to try and figure out a plan for them to get their job done and done correctly. Isn't too bossy learns to work in groups and learns to listen to their co-workers.

Resume:
Current Experience & Employment: I am currently working at my uncles business called Truly Care LLC as an administrator. Here I get to experience how to calculate workers hours and putting them into the computer onto a spreadsheet in excel. I have learned computer skills like excel. I have also learned how to work under stress because you have to make sure you calculated everything correct or else you are going to loose money. I have also learned how to get things turned in on time because if I don't have the workers' checks done on time they can get mad and maybe even make thier bill or other payments they have to do paid late. Here I have learned how to work professionally.
