Q&A Professional Interview
Question 1- What do you like the most about your job?
My favorite part of working at PEER Kindness is the kiddos, the teenagers coming in here after school and lunch. I love building relationships with them
Question 2- How long have you worked at PEER Kindness
I started in April of this year!
Question 3- What is more important, making a lot of money or doing something you like?
Do you know that phrase that if you do something you love you never work a day in your life?I dont necesarily agree- but I think that is important to find something that feeds your soul and not just your bank account. If you only focus on making the big bucks it can take you to a really dark place. I think it is more important to anything to have that emotional fulfillment because money cannot buy happiness.
Question 4- If you could be in a different business, what would it be?
In an ideal world I would love to be in film. I love movies, I remember watching the oscars as a kid. If money or sucess was not a factor I would love to do that. Even If I had to be a boom operator or something
Question 5- What did you major in in college?
I lmajored in mass communications. I did things like journalism and social media. I also minored in english
Question 6- After college how did you get this job?
One day I saw a posting for this job and most people my age definitely know the story behind peer kindness, or at least the Haynes family. When I walked in to interview I actually heard my sister in law (she was having a meeting with the lady who was interviewing me), and I said hi to her as she walked out. The lady interviewing me, said she felt like it was a good sign. And here I am all these months later!
Question 7- Before this job, did you ever work part time as a teenager?
Yes! I actually worked a lifeguard, and then I worked at the childcare, taking care of little babies to ten year olds.
Question 8- So what is the most exciting place you have ever been?
I would have to say Italy! It was so cool because I got to see the Vatican and colosseum
Question 9- Who is your role model?
My role model, as cliche as it is, is my mom. The one word I think of when I think of my mom is strong
Question 10- What is the biggest thing you have learned from your mom?
I would say resilience and stoicism in the face of struggle
Question 11- If you could give me one piece of advice what would it be?
Always be open to learning and never be afraid to look dumb!
