Career Q & A
My Future Plan & Career Statement
Career question #1: How did you choose the career you're in?
Answer #1: My mom has been a CNA for 98% of my life and I went to work with her for career day when they used to do that and I loved it. I always wanted to be like my mom and that’s what she did and that’s what I wanted to do.
Career question #2: Can you describe your daily responsibilities when at work?
Answer #2: I have a lot of responsibilities anymore. I do more than the average CNA. I do a lot of teaching. I do a lot of patient care which is fantastic. I love my patients and I love the care that I give them. I like to train everybody, so it's fun to show everybody new things. Patient care is my biggest highlight.
Career question #3: How do you overcome any issues you have with any coworkers or bosses?
Answer #3: Thankfully I don’t have those issues. I get along with all my coworkers and we act like adults when we have an issue. We talk about it, we get over it, and we go on about our day. I don’t have an issue with my boss because we just have fun and keep going about our day.
Career question #4: How does your personal life affect your work life and vice versa?
Answer #4: My personal life doesn’t affect my work life. I keep work and home separate from each other. I don’t bring work home and I don’t bring home to work. I go and be professional at work, be fun at home, be fun at work in a different professional way, and just enjoy life.
I strive to be a hardworking and compassionate registered nurse who aims towards identifying and prioritizing patient needs as well as incorporating a variety of health care resources into an individualized care plan to help the patient the best I can holistically. To accomplish this goal, I will attend CMU upon graduation majoring in nursing.

Goals I Set For Myself
Self Confidence: Be able to ask questions, or provide input freely without worrying about being judged, or ridiculed by those I ask those about the question because it was a dumb question
Time Management: I wanted to become better at managing my time thoughout the day, and when it came to homework, I wanted to become better at setting aside freetime to be able to just sit down and do the work I needed to, and do in a timely manner.
Communication: I wanted to become better at communicating whether it was by asking questions, or while working in groups to complete a task. I also wanted to be better at communicating things that I needed to get done.
