The Colorado Department of Education defines "Professional" using the following descriptors:
time & work management
career literacy
grit and resilience
work ethic; dependable and reliable
Professionalism, to me, isn't only about showing up on time and speaking respectfully it is more about how much effort and dedication you put into everything that you do.
In the fall of 2026 I will attend Colorado Mesa University on a pre-med track majoring in Biology. I hope that after completing some core classes, after two years, i can transfer to a school where I can complete a bachelor's degree in neuroscience. During those four years I will also be completing research, community service, and patient care hours to further strengthen my application for a Medical Doctor School.
My overall career goal is to be a Medical Doctor specializing in neurology. A Neurologist. This goal stems from the passion I have of creating empowering communities for individuals who struggle with neurological conditions.
I have worked as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility for over a year where I have learned a lot about, communication, empathy, and professionalism. I have work in a dementia care unit that has given me the privilage of working in something that I am passionate about.
I also did a previous internship at Mountain View Therapy Peds. This was my first experience in the medical field where I was introduced to the neurological aspect of medicine.
