My Future Plan &
Career Statement
In hopes of being a Pediatric Oncologist, I plan to go to college and study biology, in order to prepare myself for pre-med.
Through my experience at my internship I was able to work with a child who was going through the process of chemotherapy. As part of his medical team the Physical Therapist, that I was able to shadow, was able to help him regain, and maintain his strength and stamina. As well as a physical therapist this patient was able to meet with the occupational therapist at my site. This was where I was able to see not only the physical but the psychological side of the cancer recovery process.
This experience has made me realize that supporting these children is what I want to do. I want to do the most that I can for them and by being an oncologist I will be able to direct them towards these therapists who can give them extra support and hopefully fulfill my dream of being there for others when they need me.
I have a bakery business with my sister, where I have learned: communication skills, marketing and finance management.
I have also completed 16 hours of clinical CNA training. Through this experience I learned how to be professional in the health care environment.
