Arrival & Dismissal

Arrival/Tardies: School starts promptly at 8am. Children are allowed to come into the cafeteria as early as 7:15 (breakfast is available at that time). Starting at 7:30, children can come straight to the kindergarten classrooms for quiet play. Students will be counted tardy if they are not in the building by 8am. After two tardies in a single week, you will be contacted by your child’s teacher.

Dismissal: Glen Oaks dismissal is at 3pm. A parent, guardian or approved adult will be required to have the child’s dismissal card to pick up. If you do not have a dismissal card, a staff member will ask you to go to the office where you will need to show your drivers license in order to get a new dismissal card. Older siblings need to meet their kindergarten siblings in the cafeteria after school if they are picked up by car or if they walk home. A staff member will escort Club 360 or daycare van riders to the appropriate area.

Change of plans for transportation: If there’s ever a change of plans for the way your child will be going home, please send an email to your child’s teacher AND contact the front office (469-302-6403/6400).
