Enhancing Disease Detection and Research through Advanced Techniques: Emphasize the center's application of sophisticated methods like target enrichment alongside NGS to improve the accuracy and speed of detecting viral agents in disease outbreaks and epidemics.
Promoting Knowledge Exchange and Technological Advancement: Serve as a hub for sharing insights and advancements in the field of virology, particularly in the application of metagenomics and NGS, fostering global collaboration and innovation in virus discovery and public health.
We have successfully published a paper detailing a well-established protocol for blood samples, and our upcoming publication will introduce into the computational pipeline 'Entourage'. Our ongoing efforts involve developing protocols tailored for challenging samples, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and aqueous humor. Currently, we are actively recruiting patients suspected of viral infections.
