Notification of residence of foreigners for businesses
According to section 38 of the 1979 immigration act, “House owners, heads of household, landlords or managers of hotels who accommodate foreign nationals on a temporary basis who stay in the kingdom legally, must notify the local immigration authorities within 24 hours from the time of arrival of the foreign national.” If there is no immigration office in the province or locality of the respective house or hotel, the notification is made to the local police station. In Bangkok the notification is made to the Immigration Bureau. The notification of residence of foreign nationals is made by the manager of licensed hotels according to the hotel act, owners of guesthouses, mansions, apartments and rented houses using the form TM. 30. The notification of residence of foreign nationals within 24 hours can be made in a number of ways to make the notification as convenient as possible:
In person at the respective office, or
Through an authorized person at the respective office, or
By registered mail, or
Via internet.

Before coming to Thailand
Eat and drink safely

Wearing mask
Thailand, especially Bangkok and Chiang Mai, is facing periodic air pollution.
Typical density of airborne particulates, like PM2.5, ranges from 150 to above 200 on the AQI metric.
Pollution masks of at least the N95 quality are recommended.
Although wearing a mask for covid situation has been relaxed, suggesting that you still wear a mask while taking public transport.
Easy tips
Carry a list of local doctors and hospitals at your destination.
Review your health insurance plan.
Carry a card that identifies your blood type, chronic conditions or serious allergies, and the generic names of any medications you take.
Bring all the medication you think you might need but keep in mind that some prescription drugs may be illegal in other countries.

All landline telephone numbers for local calls and long distance calls within the country have 8 digits, but all mobile phones have 9 digits. All numbers start with 0 (zero).
For Bangkok calls, it is 0 + 2 + numbers, e.g. 0 2250 5500.
For provincial calls, it is 0 + area code + numbers, e.g. 0 34585 060. L

Mobile phones are widely available to buy anywhere in Thailand.
The international dialing code for Thailand is 66.
SIM Cards (mobile network operators: AIS, DTAC, and TRUE MOVE H) are available at 7-Eleven and mobile shops.
