Through this project, I have learned how much thought and effort goes into displaying art for an audience. Whether it's in a hallway or an art musuem, every layout and detail is purposeful. One of the biggest challenges I faced was deciding where to hang certain pieces. I wanted the layout to feel intentional and balanced, but making those choices wasn’t easy. I also had to make sure everything was evenly spaced and perfectly straight, which took a lot of patience.
As a senior, this project really gave me a moment to reflect on how much I’ve grown — not just as an artist, but as a person. I only started painting the summer before freshman year, and now I’m finishing high school with a whole gallery of my own. At first, I was nervous that I wouldn’t have enough artwork to fill the gallery space, but I ended up having more than enough.
Although this wasn't a long and tedious project, it has been more about reflection and a celebration of my growth in art.
