Students will submit writing entries by the deadline, March 22, 2022.
Students will invite family members to attend the festival.
Students will select a portion of their entry to share and will print four copies of each entry.
A full schedule will be provided to all participants several days before the event and will also be posted here.
The festival is set to begin at 8:00 am. Students will be assigned a time to share excerpts of their writing submissions. Students who have multiple entries will be scheduled to present during multiple sharing rounds. Guests wander from table to table to read or listen to or watch the samples.
Approximately 10:00, student authors and guests will be asked to walk to the Liberty Performing Arts Center (connected to Liberty Middle School). Our guest author will speak to the entire group. The awards ceremony follows. Guests are excused and students will be dismissed to return to class (approximately 4th hour).
Winners-Students who won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in any category (or whose name was drawn to attend), will be invited to the library where they will participate in a master writing class with our guest author. Students will eat lunch with our author in the library at a designated time.
