I am so delighted to be teaching for an eighth year at Lewis and Clark Elementary School. It is such an honor to be a Trailblazer!
I am a graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory. Trombone is my primary instrument and my favorite one to play with others. I play regularly with KC FLO, the Crossroad Sound, Moon City Big Band, and Northland Symphony Orchestra. Other groups that I play with include On the One and other local bands that need a substitute trombone.
Beyond the walls of Lewis & Clark, I teach with Harmony Project Kansas City as a Musicianship Teaching Artist. I have also taught with another non-profit organization, Base Academy of Music, which provides private lessons to students in Kansas City, MO.
When I am not teaching or playing, I enjoy spending time with family, doing jigsaw puzzles, tending to my houseplants, and listening to live jazz. My husband is a professional jazz trumpeter and a private lesson instructor. You can check out his albums "Places to Go" by the Nate Nall Quintet or "Thank God for the Little Things" on Spotify and other music platforms. We like to support the Kansas City jazz scene and encourage the new creative music that is happening.
