If you are looking to widen your reading genres and participate in enjoyable conversations with other book lovers, join Mrs. LaManna and the Readers of West after school— to enjoy books that you might never read in your classroom. Engaging in this type of conversation not only widens your thoughts on the context and devices within a story, it also builds listening and speaking skills. This is a space where you will feel free to share your true thoughts and opinions without being judged.
As high school students, we should find value in learning how to discuss a text and literature; it is a skill that will be used throughout college and our future careers. Having an open mind to others' opinions and being able to discuss engaging topics will build your ability to defend your ideas in the future.
The Readers of West would love to have you!!
