Olivia Mock

Olivia is a junior at Kenmore West! She has been writing for the Blue Devil Beat for two years now and is the Junior Editor. She also manages the Blue Devil Beat’s Instagram account. She loves writing for the advice, debates, and fashion columns of the paper. Outside of the Newspaper Club, she is also a part of the SAVE Promise Club, Community Club, Link Crew, and NHS. Her goal is to pursue a career in Fashion Journalism after high school, writing and reporting on recent fashion-related events, hoping to help keep the industry alive and thriving. Olivia was inspired by her favorite early 2000’s films, such as How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, The Devil Wears Prada, and Confessions of a Shopaholic. These sparked her love for everything fashion!

Mia Winkler

Mia Winkler is currently a senior at Kenmore West and is a full IB student. She is involved in Link Crew, Community Club, and the theater program, and she loves to read, draw, watch movies, and play bass guitar in her free time. She is active at school events and loves to volunteer any time she can. She believes in the importance of creativity and how art in any form is just as important as every other subject. She hopes that people feel they can express themselves in the newspaper (while still focusing on journalism). Mia wants to continue making the newspaper even better every month, and she is so excited to be working with people just as passionate as her about the world around her.

Sydney Crone

Sydney is a senior at Kenmore West. She spends most of her free time writing, hanging out with her friends, watching movies, and most importantly, she loves to read. Sydney is also in the Community Club and loves helping out with the school's holiday party. She mostly writes book recommendations for the Blue Devil Beat and likes to connect with others through her love for reading!

Emily Aronica

Emily is a senior at Ken-West. She is a full IB student and is involved in many different activities around her school, such as Student Council (Jr. President), Chorus Council (Librarian), Class Cabinet (Secretary), Varsity Volleyball, shows for Theatre West, and, of course, Newspaper Club (Treasurer). She's also part of many other clubs and cannot wait to be a website editor for the Blue Devil Beat this year!

Nina Parker

Nina is a junior at Kenmore West. She loves being on the website team for the Blue Devil Beat. As well as the newspaper, she is involved in Community Club, NHS, Link Crew, SAVE Promise Club, and is the class of 27 Co-Treasurer. She enjoys writing about mental health, our world today, and advice. Outside of school, she likes to read classic books, spend time with friends, and listen to music. She hopes to pursue a career in Human Resources, as she loves helping others in the business field. Nina believes that writing is such a powerful tool in today's world, as it can open up a world of opportunity and let you connect with others in your community with similar experiences and interests. She is so excited for her senior year and can't wait to write more for the Blue Devil Beat!

Patrick Kinsella

Patrick is a senior at Kenmore West. He plays on the school varsity lacrosse team. He enjoys spending his time playing games, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. He typically writes about school occurrences and is excited to continue working on the Blue Devil Beat! 

Madelyn Meckes

Maddie is a senior at Kenmore West High School. She is highly involved with Theatre West and has been in many shows, including the upcoming spring show! She is also an IB Diploma student. She can't wait to be more involved with the Blue Devil Beat this year!

Madison Waschensky

Madison is a junior at Kenmore West. She is on the website team for the Blue Devil Beat. She also enjoys going to Scrabble Club, Tea Club, and FUBU. Outside of school, she likes to spend time with friends, listen to music, and go to local shows. She can’t wait to continue to write and edit the website in her senior year for the Blue Devil Beat!
