Word Up! It’s a Scrabble Wednesday every other Wednesday in Room 447 after school! Scrabble Club is a great way to test your knowledge of the English language while having snacks and making friends! For anyone who doesn’t know what Scrabble is, it is a super fun board game that consists of two to four players putting together words that interlock across the board to form a shape that looks like a crossword puzzle. If you don’t know how to play you can come to Scrabble Club anyway and Mrs. Lee or other members of the club can teach you! In order to win you want to get the most points possible, so bring your friends for a face-off, and may the best scrabbler win! You might even get the chance to play against Mrs. Lee herself, but be careful and maybe study a dictionary beforehand… because she usually wins.
Many students would highly recommend Scrabble Club if you are looking for a way to be more involved in your school, widen your vocabulary, and just have a good time. Definitely give Scrabble Club a try at least once. You will enter a room full of welcoming students who also just want to play a great game. And if you’re wondering, why every other week? Well, that's because the club is opposite another club: the Student Council. But, if you think it's hard to keep track of which club to go to each Wednesday, here is a list of the next few times that Scrabble Club will meet.
Wednesday 2/28
Wednesday 3/13
Wednesday 3/27
Be sure to join by stopping by room 447.
