This February, let's highlight the inspiring story behind our school's FUBU Club. Short for "For Us By Us," was created by a group of passionate students. They wanted to bring people together and celebrate diversity in our mostly white school.
These students noticed the need for a space where different voices could be heard. So, they started the FUBU Club to create an environment where students from all backgrounds could connect, share stories, and learn about each other’s cultures.
From the beginning, the FUBU Club has been active. During Black History Month, they organize events discussing influential Black figures and host cultural sharing days. These activities not only celebrate Black heritage but also promote understanding of the diverse stories within our school.
Beyond Black History Month, the FUBU Club continues to make our school more inclusive. By collaborating with students from various backgrounds, they're creating a space where everyone feels connected and can learn from each other.
In celebrating diversity, the FUBU Club reminds us that our school is welcoming to everyone, regardless of their background. Let's appreciate their journey and work together to build a community that's truly "For Us By Us."
