Have you ever been interested in making a difference? How about helping those who need support? Artwork for Hope is a charity foundation, whose purpose is to provide color and light at Oishei Children's Hospital. Art and creativity can have such a positive impact on recovery and health, so our goal is to come together as a community to create art to then hand deliver to the kids at the hospital.
Hospitals are so vital to our health and well-being. The doctors, nurses, and surgeons save lives every day. Along with your physical health improving, sometimes being cooped up in the same room for weeks on end can take a toll on you. Art, color, and creativity can provide hope, light, and happiness during a difficult time in people’s lives. When I was a patient at the hospital, there was a young girl from down the hall who made me a painted mirror and told the nurses to give it to me. Even though it was a small gesture, it feels so nice to know that you're not alone in your journey. The painting also provided color and hope in the gray room.
Fundraising has started for Artwork for Hope, and so far it has raised $3,090! The immense amount of support towards this good cause, truly is amazing.
If you’re interested in making a difference in children’s lives, you should join and attend the Artwork for Hope sessions. With them, you can create a personal artwork of any media. They can be created alone, with your friends, or anybody! From there, we can hand deliver the artwork to a child in the hospital who is in need of hope and joy. It is so easy to feel small and helpless when people are struggling, but this charity can help you make a difference even if it is little!
