Homecoming hallway decorating this year was a huge success! Every grade had lots of students present and made a great effort. The 8th Graders took the main hallway outside the East Cafeteria with the theme “Wonky Eighth Grade.” They utilized balloon arches and paper cutouts to decorate in their Willy Wonka theme. Freshman were the “Frozen Freshman” in the hallway by Door 20. They used 3D elements in their decorations, with large paper snowflakes and even a Blue Devil snowman! They used blue tape to make snowflakes on the ground and although it isn’t winter yet it sure did feel like it when you walked through their hallway. The Sophomore class decorated the main hallway outside the West Cafeteria in a ‘60’s theme. They incorporated the students' names on flower garlands hanging on the walls. Our assistant principals made an appearance in this hallway, riding by in a groovy van. The “Sixties Sophmores” used bright colors and streamers to decorate their hallway. The Juniors had a Taylor Swift theme in the hallway outside the auditorium, using the “Junior Jewels” from the music video for her song “You Belong With Me.” They used colorful tablecloths to create an archway and used photos of class memories on different posters to represent their “Eras.” The 10th and 11th graders stayed the longest to work on their hallway with the last students leaving at 5:30pm. The Senior class decorated the area in and around the new Single Point of Entry with an Inside Out theme. They used balloons with photos on them to be the “memory orbs” from the film. They also incorporated large drawings of characters from the movie in their decor.
In the vote for best hallway, the Senior Class of 2024 won with the rest of the classes following in chronological order. Who do you think had the best decorated hallway?
