On the nights of May 9th-11th, the Kenmore West Theatre put on a production of Cyrano and Roxane, an adaptation of the original Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand. This story is about a man named Cyrano who is in love with a woman who he believes could not possibly love him back for the enormous size of his nose. With the help of a handsome man he meets named Christian, he makes Roxane fall in love with him one way or another.Â
Our school's production included humor, bright colors, beautiful lighting design, and a lot of time and dedication from the people involved. The production team, the actors, the crew, and the direction of Ms. Gruninger, Bri Puma, student director Gabby Pilat, stage combat choreographer Maddie Kaderabeck, and the lighting designer Chris George created a fun and comedic spring play.
While the production had to take place on the old Kenmore Middle stage, the sword fighting, imaginative set, and lively cast brought together a great success for all those who were involved. Congratulations to the cast and crew on a job well done.
