For a perfect spring, you need a perfect playlist! You're going to need to get a variety of soft, clear, fun, and upbeat songs, with some love and heartbreak thrown in as well!
First off, I definitely recommend any songs from the album Older (and Wiser) by Lizzy McAlpine. “Older (and Wiser)” is a very soft, loving album. It includes some of her very popular songs, like “Pushing It Down and Praying” and “Spring into Summer.” She has an incredible uniqueness to her voice that adds so much to the album. I love listening to this album because of the vibrant, clear sound portrayed in the music, painting a picture of spring!
For a little more heartbreak and life, I recommend the rock band Paramore. Depending on what vibes you want, I recommend either Brand New Eyes or After Laughter, two of their more well-known albums. Brand New Eyes is a dreamy and passionate album, while After Laughter is a lively, upbeat album, giving you a perfect mix of music for Spring!
You can’t go wrong with any Olivia Dean! She has a bright and jazzy tone, and all of her songs are perfect for spring, especially her album The Art of Loving. Some of my favorites from this album are “Let Alone The One You Love” and “A Couple Minutes.”
Another amazing album is Thriller by Michael Jackson. Michael is blowing up right now because of the new “Michael” movie, and his music is so upbeat and uplifting, especially in this early album. Songs like “Human Nature” are so fresh and clear, and songs like “Beat It” are a perfect mood booster.
Additionally, any Clairo is perfect for spring. She has an amazing vibe in her music, sure to make you sing along. “Juna” and “Slow Dance” are my favorites.
Lastly, for some specific songs I like on their own, I recommend “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers and “Put Your Records on” by Corinne Bailey Rae. These are both mood boosters and are sure to put a smile on your face. Also, for some melancholy, moody songs, “Beaches” by Beabadoobee is a great song to add to your playlist!
Honestly, everyone can think of spring and their favorite music, but I believe spring has a mix of smooth, high energy, and love. I hope you enjoy my spring picks!
