A fan favorite of Chalamet's, Call Me by Your Name is a beautiful film that is set in Lombardy, Italy. Chalamet plays the role of Elio. Elio is an intelligent 17-year-old who falls deeply in love with his father's intern, Oliver. Elio and Oliver spend the summer of 1983 getting to know each other, but soon they realize that they have gotten dangerously close. Nominated for four Oscars, Call Me by Your Name proves to be one of Timothée’s most impressive films.
Beautiful Boy
Said to be one of Timothée's saddest films, Beautiful Boy is a true story that delves into the struggle of being an addict. Not only is the story about addiction, but it also highlights a father and son's relationship as the son struggles with his journey to recovery. David Sheff’s son, Nic Sheff, becomes addicted to methamphetamine, and throughout the two-hour-long film, Nic goes through a constant pattern of recovery and relapse. Beautiful Boy is a film with a tragically beautiful story that gives hope to people struggling with addiction.
Little Women
Based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel, Little Women, directed by Greta Gerwig, is a movie about defying societal expectations. The story takes place during the Civil War, and it follows the March sisters Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. Jo March becomes very close to a man named Laurie (Timothée Chalamet). Laurie is a charming, rich man who is neighbors with the March sisters. He falls deeply in love with Jo but discovers that love is more complex than what he thinks. During the movie, we see all four sisters follow a path that is unique but fit for their dreams.
Dune Part One
Set in a desert planet called Arrakis, Dune is a science fiction film based on a novel by Frank Herbert that is filled with stunning visuals, powerful characters, and entertaining action. The lead protagonist is Paul Atreides. Paul is the son of Duke Leto Atreides and is expected to inherit his family's power. Paul goes on a journey to fulfill his destiny to become a powerful leader of the native people of Arrakis.
Wonka
Everyone is familiar with the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but not everyone knows Willy Wonka's backstory. Wonka is a musical that explores how Wonka came to be. Wonka struggles to launch his business due to competition and a lack of money. We experience Wonka's ups and downs and how he overcomes them. The events in this movie are what lead up to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
A Complete Unknown
Timothée tackles another complex role by playing the famous musician, Bob Dylan. Dylan's story begins as he travels to New York and starts playing his music. His music attracts attention due to his unique voice and poetic lyricism. His fans fall in love with his folk sound, so when he begins experimenting with a rock sound, his fans aren't pleased. Bob Dylan decides to stay true to himself and his artistic vision. This film led Chalamet to be nominated for Best Actor.
Marty Supreme
Marty Supreme is Chalamet's most recent film. Released in December of 2025, Marty Supreme earned Timothée another Oscar nomination for his amazing leading performance. Marty Reisman is a professional table tennis player. He is ambitious but reckless with his actions, and we see this throughout the film. Timothée's acting skills shine in this film, which is why he earned his third Oscar nomination for acting in this movie.
