“It-Girl” Makeup Products

I have seen this product all over the internet! It is a part of Hailey Bieber's (yes, Justin Bieber’s wife!!) makeup and skincare brand, Rhode. The creamy blush came out in June of 2024. Since then, it has become a viral product and is considered an “it girl” must-have for the perfect glowy makeup routine. There are currently eleven shades, ranging from peachy colors to flushed berry colors. You can find this blush on the official Rhode website or Sephora’s website. It hydrates the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky feel. Many people who have bought this product have said that it is very easy to blend into the skin and gives that “glowy” look. It is good for all skin types and is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, and dermatologist-tested/developed. For the price of only $25, I am definitely putting this blush on my Christmas list this year!! According to the internet, the most popular shade is “Tan Line,” with “Freckle” and “Sleepy Girl” being the runner-ups. I will for sure be wishing for the shade “Sleepy Girl,” as it is a soft mauve, perfect for pale skin complexions such as my own. Plus, the packaging is adorable and very clean-looking! 

1. Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer 

This highlighter has been viral for quite some time! Rare Beauty is Selena Gomez’s makeup and beauty brand that launched in September of 2020. This product comes in ten different shades, ranging from pink tones to tanned and bronze tones. For $27, this cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, and dermatologist-tested liquid luminizer is a steal! This highlighter is the definition of “glow” and gives that perfect dewy look. It provides the sunkissed look that we all crave. It layers well with all formulas, including liquids, powders, and creams. You can find this on the Rare Beauty website or at Sephora!

1. Glossier Ultralip

I can testify to the fact that this lip product is so worth it! I received it last year for Christmas and I used it every day until it ran out. If you’re hesitant because of the $22 price tag, think again, as many people including myself have reasons as to why you should buy it. It comes in thirteen varying shades, all beautiful! This Glossier product isn’t just considered a lipstick. It contains the moisture of a lip balm, the sheen of a lip gloss, and the pigment of a lip tint. It’s an all-in-one, great for everyday use on the go! This product is also cruelty-free, vegan, dermatologist-tested, and is formulated without fragrance. The packaging is also made from up to 50% recycled plastic. Many say it is very moisturizing and soft on the lips! I definitely recommend it. 

1. Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment 

This nourishing lip treatment product comes in four different scents, with a fifth one being unscented. The scents are strawberry glaze, salted caramel, rhode vanilla, and watermelon slice. Not to mention that the packaging is super chic, the product is also only $20!! For a lip treatment that doubles as a lip gloss, that is a fairly good price, as it’s technically a 2-in-1 product! It also won an Allure Beauty award in 2022 for being the Best Untinted Lip Balm. Its benefits include moisturizing, nourishing, hydrating, and replenishing dry lips. Its main ingredients include Shea Butter, Peptide, and Vitamin E.  Rhode recently “rebranded” their lip peptides, as customers had previously noted that the texture of the product was “gritty.” After the correction, customers note that it is now fixed with a smooth and soft feeling on the lips.
