I watch the winds blowing by my window at night,
Carrying all kinds of snowflakes into the snowy mounds of white.
I watch them not knowing where they might land next.
But I know they're on a vast journey.
It's scary but so exciting at the same time.
I could only imagine if that was me.
And I could say, “It was all mine.”
All the love and togetherness the cold brought.
I’d be happy to have a place to go with others I know.
It would feel like a home in the cold.
We’d be special, coming one season a year and always bringing cheer.
I just know I’d feel like a piece of gold that was priceless, shining in the freezing snow.
I can see it now!
I’d be so happy, so loved and feel so beautiful.
So I wish I was the snow.
I could be shining all day and all night,
One season a year,
And you’d all be near.
