Picture this. The world has been taken over by the Reestablishment with the sole purpose of seizing control after society crashes and the environment is a disaster. You have some sort of disease; your touch is deadly. You don’t know where it came from, and one day you see a boy in the grocery store, wailing, and you go to help him–just to accidentally murder him. You get sent to an insane asylum as the Reestablishment takes you away from your life and wants to turn you into a weapon. After 364 days being in the asylum, isolated from society, someone randomly gets added to your cell that you don’t know. That is Juliette Ferrars' life. As she struggles through the Reestablishment, taking her to use as a weapon and putting her through ruthless training, Shatter Me shows how the Reestablishment shatters her. And she wants to take it down.

Shatter Me is definitely our favorite book series and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a good dystopian series with action, romance, and plot twists. We rate this book series a 10/10; it has a great storyline and good pacing. We loved all of the characters, and the author made each character special. In our opinion, the third book was the best in the series, but all of them were really good. We were hooked on each one. The novellas from different POV’s were incredible and gave a much deeper perspective and understanding. Shatter Me took us through a rollercoaster of emotions; we were laughing one second, furious the next, then crying after.
