Students of Kenmore West, you have a voice, your voice is special, your voice is beautiful, your voice deserves to be heard!
As humans we have an amazing gift that allows us to stand up and speak on what we believe is right and what we believe is wrong. Along with this gift we also have the responsibility to be respectful and use our voice in a way that honors those around us. We are young and bright and we may not have the maturity and experiences of the adults around us but that should never put us down. We go to school everyday where we are silenced by others’ opinions, anxious thoughts, and lack of support. I encourage all of you to overcome adversity and when you see wrong in the world unite with others to stand up against injustice. Our world feels incredibly broken but our generation has the power to start putting it back together. We are strong, smart, powerful, and with the right message and proper leadership we can make changes.
We can set an example that will influence younger generations to be courageous. Think about the example you set for others. Think about the world you want to grow up in. Think about how you can stand up for what you believe in using love, respect, and YOUR VOICE!
