The Internet is a network of millions of electronics. It is made up of at least 2 or more electronic devices linked so they can communicate with each other. Nobody is sure when the internet was born but most people think what got it started was the creation of DARPA, that's the research organization for the Department of Defense.In the late 1960s, scientists there created the ARPANET,which allowed computer users at four different California universities to share info with each other. The network grew and grew throughout the 1970s eventually becoming a big part of the early Internet in the 1980s. When your computer connects to the internet,it becomes a part of the largest network on Earth.Every computer on the Internet is either a client or a server. Servers provide a service to other computers, like selling books or giving weather forecasts. The computer used to watch videos or search is a client. Some computers can be clients and servers at the same time, a computer doesn’t communicate directly with a server. Client computers actually don’t know how to find a web site on their own. There are lots of computers in between the two that relay requests.

Malware is a different word for virus. Their main purpose is to multiply and they delete files,lock the computer ,slow the performance of your computer,spy and send scam mails. There are different types of malware which are trojan horse and worms.Trojan horses attract you to open an ad,open mails,cannot be spotted easily and can harm the computer. Worms can spread to any digital devices and harms the device.There are different types of malware.Ransomware locks your computer and you need to pay to regain access.

How to not get hacked and to be safe and make other people safe too.

Keep a strong password that you can remember, do not share with anyone except your parents

. Be nice to prevent cyber-bullying. It makes people depressed. It is harassment. careful strangers keep identity secret.do not send info to unknown people do not press silly free stuff they probably are scams sometimes there is miss spelling so you better not click on it read privacy policy people can get money for your info by spying on you .

The negative effects of the internet in a society

It can be addicting and it can hurt our communication skills. It can spread fake news , bully people on the internet , affects our sleeping habits , promotes a more sedentary lifestyle , and is a constant source of distraction and it causes attention problems.

Good things about the internet - it lets people talk with each other , chat , entertainment , news , information , school work and many more

Good hackers are also called white hats or security hackers, and bad hackers are called crackers or black hats. A good and bad hacker works in much the same way and even use identical skills to perform the hacking

There are 3 different types of virus

1 trojan horse - they hide in webs and apps and if you make the mistake of clicking then it software will be copied in to your device

It is programmed for viewing passwords and other things.

2 worm - Worms are stealthy like Trojan horses,

often remaining hidden.+

3 malware - its main purpose is to replicate, or

copy itself. To do that, it inserts its code into

other programs and turns them into cloning factories.

We did this because we are doing internet safety as our thing for ex and we wanted to find out that the project we are doing is valid. Lots of people know someone who has been bullied or hacked online and lots have been bullied or hacked online so we found out it is a valid problem we are working on.This graph shows what information students and staff members have shared online and this survey’s information will help us with our exhibition because we can help people who share age,gender,username and password and explain to them why they shouldn’t share those information.Now we know that a lot of people share private information and this is a valid problem.’
