Attend YOUR town's meetings to advocate for a BUDGET OVERRIDE to maintain LEVEL SERVICES!

Get your parents to come to meetings to vote & speak out as well!

Once the Finance Committee approves a budget (like the 5.66% they are now considering), the budget plan will be sent to the towns. The towns can hold a BUDGET OVERRIDE where they say they want to raise the budget by a different percentage (EX: 9.62-- for level services!).  The town citizens will then have to vote to approve the budget override. Even though most of us students cannot vote, we can attend town meetings and speak during Public Comment to advocate for our funding!

If you are from Chesterfield or Southampton, we strongly encourage you to attend your town meetings as both these towns need the most convincing for an override.
