On the sunny morning of 11th May, our C1 and C2 ardent members gathered at the bustling McDonalds outlet at Marina Cove, ready to start our busy morning of cleaning up the beach. Today, we would serve an audience greater than the school compound that we were accustomed to; the environment.
(But first, a good breakfast is needed.)
As our hardworking members scour along the sandy beach to find some litter, Athena finds a hermit crab and shares it with Kelly and Shuyi:
"It was just lying in the sand, I picked up the shell thinking it was empty but turns out it was alive!"

The commotion draws Natalie and Cheryl to stop their litter picking and look over to get a glimpse of the hermit crab.
However, as the dark sky looms over, the threat of a heavy downpour leaves the members anxious and restless. Would their day of CIP and CCA bonding be ruined by the rain?
And rain it did, for the 90% chance of rain as provided by the weather forecast was sadly accurate.
But this did not dampen the members of Ardent, for that would bring into question our very CCA name. A change of plans it was, as our members gathered under the shelter to brave themselves from rain.

As the rain continued on, our members started talking and bonding over their litter-picking ventures. I suppose the rain wasn't as bad after all.
