What is Quality Education?

Healthy, safe, and supportive environments for children to study in, content that includes the aforementioned elements and peace. An inclusiveness in child-centered processes that are facilitated by competent self-driven teachers; outcomes that include life-supportive knowledge, skills, and attitudes; links to these outcomes are all components of the process of quality education. The UNICEF's claim that effective and adequate stimulation in a child's early years effects brain development and is essential for emotional regulation, arousal, and behavioral management is especially crucial (for sustainability).

How to achieve Quality Education

1. Maintained infrastructure

• According to a study in the UK, colleges and other schools increased students' academic success by 16% after improving design and environmental elements

2. Pedagogy skills

• The concept of learning, unlearning and relearning. We need a transition from rote learning to conceptual methods that can keep the teachers and students engaged.

3. Quality of teachers

• Teachers are the key elements in the classroom that ignite the minds of children for seeking knowledge. The quality of teachers can be improved by providing training and equipping them with the appropriate technology

4. Extra-curricular activities

• school should be involved in various co-curricular activities as they serve as a key component in sustaining students’ interest in school. The school should have proper sports facilities and avenues for cultural events that help in building the life skills and personality of the students.

5. Proper implementation of a government policies

• Government policies play an essential role in quality education. Laws ensure that schools have a proportionate teacher to student ratio. The government can also aid in the funding of school initiatives.

6. Assessment and evaluation tools

• A greater understanding of the child will result from doing appropriate and summative assessments. When creating the evaluation instruments, which should also incorporate critical/higher order thinking abilities, individual variances should be taken into consideration. We would then be able to assess the child's learning level based on the findings, and by taking the required action, the best kind of education for the child can be created.

7. Community building

• Peer learning is vital at every level of quality education. All students, regardless of their schools, can come together to share their ideas, challenges, and solutions with others as cross-functional learning. Thus, it will enhance the connectivity and productivity of the school.

1. Australia gives out income-contingent loans to encourage students from disadvantaged backgrounds to enroll in public universities through its Commonwealth Grant Scheme. 

2. With a sharp increase in the no. of girls going to school and pursuing higher education, a drastic increase in the literacy rates have also followed suit.

3. Sub-Saharan Africa made the greatest progress in primary school enrollment among all developing regions – from 52 percent in 1990, up to 78 percent in 2012 – large disparities still remain.

2. 57 million primary-aged children do not receive proper, formal education and more than half of them belong to the Sub-Saharan African region
