As part of the Love March, there will be contests for students of local schools. 

Create Art: Create a drawing or painting that illustrates what you want our world to look like and/or your dream for our world in the coming years. These should be in color, in a medium of your choice. All entries must fill an 8X11 inch blank paper, landscape. Finalist art pieces will be publicly displayed, and the winning art will be turned into postcards to be used to send messages to politicians to encourage them to act to shape a better future.

Write a Speech: What do you want to say about our world and the changes you want to see? If you could speak to politicians, what would you tell them? Show us by writing a motivational speech that addresses an issue that is important to you and encourages people to take action. Entries should be typed, in size 12 font, and should be no more than 600 words. Winning writers will be invited to speak at the Love March at City Hall.

Write a Poem: Craft a poem about a societal issue you feel strongly about that will help bring people’s attention to the issue. Any length poem is accepted. Winning poets will be invited to speak at the Love Rally at City Hall and poems will be displayed.

Winners will get a gift card to a book store.

Deadline for submission for all contests: May 13, 2024 

There will be awards for the winners including gift certificates and prizes!

• Pre-K - 2nd Grade

• 3-5th grade

• Middle School (6-8)

• High School
