RRC1( Residential Resource Center 1)

At the  RRC1( Residential Resource Center 1) Center at 180 Orange st Springfield ma from Wayfinders where I Intern, the Staff consists of Alicia Walker who is my Field supervisor, she has been a mentor, teacher, and Humble understanding Supervisor I would not change her for the world. Alicia is not at the center but supervises my internship and has met me at the RRC1 several times. At the shelter center, there is a Manager called Chrsity Bosley who works well with all staff manages all papers work and makes sure that all staff does what needs to be done to help families, Philici Arthurton is the site Case manager who i very savy with computers and always makes referrals for all families, she is humble, wise and helpful. Also, there is Alexys Garrafa Housing search worker, she is a empathetic, lovable person who goes above and beyond for all clients and never says no, she has been a teacher and has been a friend she is awesome and very respectful to work with i will miss her alot. Lastly there is the new hire Brittany Beamon who is also a Housing search worker she is a fast learner, well determined, and has a fashion of her own she has also been a teacher and works well with all families.

The Mayority of the family served and helped in this shelter are from Haiti. The families from Haiti are very humble and are in need of getting help with their documentations to work and go to school and to obtain housing and DTA services. Haitian Creole is a new culture that i learned to love and learn from, they speak some spanish and are very family oriented, most of these families are refugees. Homelessness has been a crisis at the moment and its hard for families to get in there own paid home right away or to obtain any PCP doctors.
