Service Year/ Gap Year: A gap year is a semester or year of experiential learning, typically taken after high school and prior to career or post-secondary education, in order to deepen one's practical, professional, and personal awareness.
Job Training/ Trade: Job training programs can be categorized into 3 areas: general job readiness training, occupation-specific/technical training; and a blended model of the two.
