Note: a limited number of students may have different options based on their academic needs
#ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) is required for non-native English speakers who test to levels 1-5. For levels 1 & 2 and ESOL class replaces Language Arts. For Levels 3-5, ESOL support is provided via a core academic class.
World Languages (French or Spanish) classes are not recommended for new-to-SHAPE students who are ESOL levels 1 or 2 unless they have previous, formal, instruction in the target language.
