I believe students learn more when they are happy and when they feel safe to be themselves. The culture of our classroom is based on respect and choices that reflect our compassion for one another and our desire to grow.
Students are expected to refrain from ANY behavior that prevents other students from listening or performing assigned tasks in class.
Please come to class prepared and use the restroom prior to the tardy bell.
Cell phones are used for educational purposes only; devices will be confiscated for noncompliance and returned at the end of class.
Earbuds and headphones are allowed when given expressed permission.
Profanity is inappropriate in our classroom and will not be tolerated. In order to maintain a classroom culture that respects individuals, we must remember that the way we communicate with a friend or small social group is not always appropriate for a public setting such as school.
Students are expected to demonstrate the highest level of academic integrity that reflect respect and honesty toward one’s self, the teacher, fellow learners, and Ansbach Middle High School. Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.
The first time a student is disruptive to the learning process or counter to the class-culture of mutual respect, he or she will be verbally reminded of the expectations.
If a second offense occurs within the same day, a parent will be contacted.
A third offense in one day will result in an email to administration and additional communication with the parent.
Students who cause severe disruption (and refuse to collect themselves) or cause threat or harm to anyone in the class, will be referred to the office immediately.
