This includes mobile, desktop and online versions of Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). This also includes a full suite of online services for email, file storage and collaboration, meetings, and more.

Windows 10 Enterprise - Available Now

This is the most productive and secure version of Windows offering comprehensive deployment, device, and app management.

DoDEA Implementation: Local and Cloud-Based Apps

During School Year 2020-2021 Semester 1, above-school level DoDEA staff will receive access to Microsoft's core online applications and productivity services (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) as well as the Microsoft Teams, which will be available directly on DoDEA-issued devices or online. By the end of the school year, Microsoft Teams will fully replace Skype for Business in the DoDEA environment as it will no longer be supported by Microsoft after July 2021.

DoDEA will plan to roll out additional desktop applications and migrate Outlook mail and local files in subsequent phases over the coming years.

Coming School Year 2020-2021

Microsoft core online applications and Microsoft Teams will be implemented in a layered and phased approach. Above-school-level staff will be implemented during Semester 1; school-level staff will follow.

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration resource that allows you to chat, meet and work on files with your team from anywhere, any time, at the same time - using an internet-connected device.
