Career Practicum is an internship program designed for high school seniors to gain valuable insight into various career fields available in the local community. In the course student-interns craft resumes, are interviewed by prospective employers, develop training plans, and focus on growing in areas of professionalism and personal responsibility. Students must sign a contract (along with their parents, the program advisor, and the jobsite supervisor) which lays out the expectations and the parameters of the program. Student-interns can expect to be in the workplace an average of one hour per day, every other day. Typically, this translates to 2.5 hours per week.
