Dear Parent, Sponsor, Students,
The closing of schools and other events have been done in an effort to be extremely cautious and protective of all our families. These decisions are preventative measures. As we navigate with these modifications, we strive for excellence in education within another context. We hope the virtual learning environment will help maintain some normalcy despite the current building closure.
We are here to support you and guide you throughout this process and will continue to address parent and student needs. The nurses, school psychologist, counselors and special education staff are available to address socio-emotional and individualized support or concerns as they arise.
Within Student Support you will find ideas for talking with your children about their worries or concerns related to the virus, recognizing signs of anxiety and stress, and contact information for support staff. We’ve enclosed links and information to support you and the schools. We plan to add interactive information and support for parents and our students as needs arise with this very fluid situation.
The military and civilian family community is amazingly strong, supportive, resilient and famous for adapting to change and needs as they arise. We are here to support and engage. Please feel free to reach out to us for questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Student Support Services
