Game days have arrived (finally) and are some of our favorite days. Whether you're heading to a watch party at SheSports, tailgating, watching from home, or catching the action live in the stadium - we have something for you. Our two favorite gameday essentials: The right pair of shoes and a refreshingly cold seltzer.
Jordan Flight Court
Comfortable, stylish shoes are a non-negotiable for game day. These Jordan Flight Courts have been my go-to. They're cute enough to go with almost any game-day outfit, but still super supportive if you're going to be on your feet all day long. This shoe is also surprisingly affordable - who doesn't love an affordable shoe!? If you're still on the fence, check out this video review that breaks down all the different aspects of the shoe.Â
Truly Berry Hard SeltzerÂ
â ïž 21+ OnlyÂ
Game day is not complete without a delicious, refreshing, ice-cold drink, and truth be told, the best ones are the Truly Berry flavors. This pack comes with Cherry, Wild Berry, Blueberry, and Strawberry Lime, and they are all as delicious as they sound. No more weird aftertaste or wishing you had tried a different flavor - these will hit the spot every time! Light, refreshing, and easy to pack in your cooler, these will make your game day a win.Â

Get excited! The 2025 NCAA Womenâs Basketball season has arrived! With standout players like Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd at UConn, Madison Booker at Texas, Milayisa Fulwiley at LSU, and so many other fantastic players, this season is guaranteed to be a hit. There are some exciting matchups this week, including Duke vs Baylor, Iowa vs the University of St.Thomas, UConn vs Louisville, we could go on and on - no doubt that this season is coming in HOT!Â
SheSports is thrilled to be hosting the majority of these games and will announce our game-day food and drink specials on Instagram later this week. SheSports offers an inclusive environment to enjoy these games with good company, delicious food and drinks, and an electric environment. Â
As a new season approaches, we want to quickly reminisce on the 2024 - 2025 season. Watching UConn take it home, I know we were all excited for our hometown hero, Paige Bueckers, but it was also so bittersweet knowing we wouldnât see her in a UConn jersey this year. We also lost another legend of the game, Lisa Bluder, the former head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. She may have stepped down from coaching, but worry, NBC Sports announced that Bluder will be joining their team as an analyst for the 2025 - 2026 season.

For nearly a century, women have fought their way to compete in sports. One of the biggest turning points came during the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, the first Olympics in which women competed in athletics events. The Australian Olympic Committee shares that the first womenâs athletics gold medallist was a 16-year-old American, Elizabeth Robinson. That moment gave women around the world something to believe in, and it quietly changed what the future of womenâs sports could look like.
Fast forward to January 26, 1975, when womenâs college basketball made its debut on national television. It wasnât just a game; it was a statement. This article provides a fantastic deep dive into the game and the importance of that moment in history. From there, opportunities for women in college sports exploded, and by 2001, there was a 545% increase in womenâs participation. Viewership followed with the WNBA seeing a 71% increase by 2008. And by 2023, nearly 2 billion people tuned into the FIFA Womenâs World Cup, making it the most-watched womenâs sporting event in history.Â
It can be frustrating to realize how long it took to reach this point; however, it is inspiring to think about all the Women who advocated and fought, knowing they deserved to be on these stages despite anyone's disbelief in Womenâs athletics. This is where SheSportâs comes in; weâre here to honor the fight it took to get where we are now with women's soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and swimming, absolutely surging in viewership and fanship. We provide fans a safe place to express their love for the sport, athletes, and women's empowerment.Â

Underappreciation of women's sports has been an ongoing issue. For decades, female athletes have not been given the support they deserve. We're here to change that. If you love womenâs sports, here are a few simple ways to make a real impact:
Follow and Engage on Social Media
Social media drives visibility, and visibility drives sponsorships. NIL deals and sponsors are looking for trending individuals or teams to gain as much exposure as possible. Which is why following your favorite female athlete and women's sports team and engaging with their posts is so much more important than people realize. Next time you see a highlight reel, behind-the-scenes moment, or game-day post, drop that fire emoji, share it, or tag a friend. It all adds up.
Show Up â In Person or Online
Keep up with women's sports games that are happening near you. If you are planning a weekend getaway or vacation, see if games are happening at your destinations! Attendance is a significant factor in female athletes feeling supported. Attending a game (or streaming one live) shows that fans do care, and trust us, the athletes feel that energy.
Watch. Rewatch. Repeat.
The more people who watch womenâs sports, the more networks notice. And that leads to better coverage, funding, and opportunities for female athletes. This seems like a no-brainer, but research from the University of Samford explains that fans donât typically tune into women's sports without some type of personal connection, limiting potential audience engagement.Â
So, if you canât catch the game live, record it or stream it later. Throw it on while youâre cooking dinner or getting ready for a night out. Simple as that.
Supporting womenâs sports doesnât always mean grand gestures; sometimes itâs as easy as showing up, cheering loudly, and hitting âfollow.â Together, we can make sure womenâs sports get the appreciation theyâve always earned.

Itâs no secret that women's sports have been slept on for centuries. The underappreciation of women's sports has always been present, hence the enactment of Title IX. For a quick reminder, Title IX was signed into law in 1972 by President Richard Nixon and prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program ot activity receiving any type of federal financial aid. Before Title IX, women were excluded from many sports due to societal beliefs about their physical capabilities. Meaning that just 52 years ago, the idea that women couldnât be elite athletes was still widely accepted.
Although we have seen a slow shift in that mindset, as athletes like Alex Morgan, Simone Biles, and Katie Ledecky have proven otherwise, they were also given the opportunity to do so. Prior to Title IX and the rise of women's sports, we can only imagine all the potential superathletes who were undermined and limited due to the prevailing beliefs about womenâs capabilities.Â
This is why supporting women's sports and female athletes is so important. To prove that the belief that women don't belong in sports is a misogynistic thought that doesn't belong in society. Showing up for women's sports means showing up for women. It drowns out the noise and allows these amazing athletes to know they are appreciated and supported. SheSports was created just for this reason.
SheSports was created to celebrate, empower, and unite womenâs sports fans everywhere. Itâs more than just a lounge, itâs a movement. A space where womenâs sports take center stage and fans can show up loudly and proudly without judgment.
Weâre here to:
đȘ Support the countless female athletes whoâve ever questioned their belonging.
đ Honor the athletes who weren't able to show off their true potential.
đ Create a safe, electric space where womenâs sports fans can cheer, connect, and celebrate together.
Share this post with your fellow women's sports fans, and we'll see you next week!Â

It's no secret that women's sports and female athletes are on the rise. We've all seen the headlines, filled arenas, and increased coverage of female athletes like Caitlin Clark, Paige Beckers, and Angel Reese. Today, we sat down with an industry professional, longtime women's AAU basketball coach Lisa Johnson, to discuss what we can attribute this success to and how it is affecting the next generation of female athletes.Â
The Rise Of Women's Sports
Over the past 5 years, women's sports have seen a major transformation. Increased media coverage, packed arenas, and the rise of star athletes have helped women's basketball and other sports step into the spotlight. S&P Global Marketing Intelligence even reported that the percentage of U.S. adults following women's sports, particularly NCAA women's basketball, the WNBA, or FIFA women's soccer, rose to 18% in 2024, up 4 percentage points from late 2023. This visibility has allowed the younger generation to see female athletes competing at the highest level.Â
What's Driving the Growth
Lisa explained that there are several factors fueling this success. Big names like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and A'ja Wilson have drawn in huge audiences, and brands like Nike, Delta, and American Express are starting to invest in and sponsor women's sports and female athletes. Most importantly, fans are showing up and proving there's a real demand for women's sports.Â
Impact on Young Female AthletesÂ
Lisa shared that the representation has been a game-changer for younger athletes. When girls see women's games filling up stadiums and constantly being in the news, it makes them believe that they can be there one day too. They no longer have to imagine women playing on those stages because it has become a reality. This boosts the confidence and inspires younger athletes to work harder because their dreams could easily become a reality.Â
With almost 10 years of experience in the field, it has been an honor to get Lisa's perspective on the growth of women's sports and how it is affecting the younger generation.Â
